Victory Gallop, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 by Co-Directors Sue Miller and Kim Gustely and Dr. David Miller. Its' mission is to improve the self-esteem, physical fitness, attention span, communication skills and socialization of children, ages 3-18, who have emotional conditions, behavioral challenges and/or life-threatening illnesses. Its' volunteers and co-directors do so by providing a fun, high quality, personalized therapeutic horseback riding program. Located in Bath, Ohio, Victory Gallop is a place where children who deal with the challenges of their bodies or the realities of their home environment are accepted for who they are. It is a place where children often experience their first taste of wide open spaces, riding trails through beautiful woods and meandering streams. There are horses ever-present to offer a gentle nuzzle; dogs to romp with and adults willing to listen and offer encouragement and support. At Victory Gallop, there are high expectations for hard work, hand-in-hand with a supportive framework of caring adults who help to build self-esteem, character and leadership skills, while helping children to have fun and enjoy life.
