Victory Gallop’s success is largely due to the wonderful support it receives from its' volunteers. The roles of a volunteer include, but are not limited to, assisting as a side walker or leader during the lessons, caring for the horses, helping with barn and farm maintenance and involvement in fundraising. Volunteers need to be over 14 years old. However, children younger than 14 who have a strong horsemanship background are considered. It is preferred that a volunteer commits to a 12 week session. The relationship between a volunteer and a rider can become very special. If a volunteer is unable to commit to 12 weeks, they are welcome to volunteer, but may not have the opportunity to be as directly involved with the riders. Volunteers will receive a handbook that they are required to read. At the beginning of each new session a volunteer training session will be held. Some of their training, however, is done on site with a mentor. If you are interested in volunteering at Victory Gallop, please complete the volunteer application. Volunteers need to bring their competed volunteer application with them or can send them directly to Victory Gallop. Volunteers will receive their handbooks at the training session or upon their first day of volunteering. If you still have more questions regarding volunteering, please feel free to call us at 330.666.0300. Click here to download the Volunteer/Staff Information Form. |
