Victory Gallop enjoyed a warm and wonderful summer.  The farm was busy with weekly riding lessons and summer camps.  Special events included pool parties on those extremely hot days, movie night, fun day and the horse show.  The students did a fantastic job learning about jumping and performing with their horses.

Petie was as busy as ever making weekly trips to Akron Children’s Hospital and Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.  He also made a very special visit to the Siedman Cancer Center at University Hospitals.   He continues to warm the hearts of many with his room visits.

The farm has two wonderful cats that have joined us, Oreo and Yankee.  They love all the attention given to them by our riders. They enjoy tagging along on trail rides and watching lessons from the hay loft (pictured below).

We have one new and wonderful addition to the stars of the program, Deemer.  He is a beautiful bay, thoroughbred with a white star.  He is quickly becoming a favorite to both riders and volunteers.

As we move into fall, Victory Gallop has started the game session.  Introducing a new game each week challenges the rider’s in many different areas.  The various games promote team work, competition, riding skills, fun and some are even educational.   We look forward to hosting a Halloween week where the students have the opportunity to dress up the horse and enjoy treats at the farm.

We would like to extend our congratulations to instructor, Kelly Balmert, who will be getting married on Oct 13th, which by the way is also Petie’s birthday.  What a great day!!

Time seems to fly by and we know that the session will too.  So if you are looking to volunteer please come out and join us soon.  The lesson schedule can be found on our calendar page.

Our holiday celebration will conclude the year and will be posted on the web soon.
