Rufus:
Rufus might be small, but his personality is big. He is a wonderful pony for all our young riders. He loves to trot and has been a huge help in teaching many of our young students how to canter. He and Petie are best buddies. We call Rufus the “grumpy one” because he always looks ornery.

However, when he is heading down to a jump or offered a carrot you will see a sparkle in his eye. Interesting Fact: Rufus show name was Double Take.

Kahuna:
Kahuna is quite the character. If I was telling the story of beauty and the beast, he would be the beast!! His favorite passion is eating. That might be the only passion he has! Throughout his life he has been the horse that has taught many young children to ride. He has a wonderful canter. Interesting Fact: The Big Kahuna means The Big Chief. Montana:
A true gem!! He is always kind and very patient. His sweetness makes him a favorite amongst the riders and volunteers. He was born and raised in the state of Montana and for most of his life was a cattle horse. The cowboys used him to move large herds of cows from Montana to Wyoming. Dr. Alessio had gone on a cattle drive and fell in love with this special guy. For many years the cowboys would not sell him. Finally they gave in and Dr. Alessio shipped Montana to Ohio. Interesting Fact: His name on the ranch was Jerry and he was born in the mountains.
